The TLD .twitter was protected, but since the social media service renamed itself to X after being purchased by Elon Musk, someone bought this TLD today for $499 at Freename.

Yes, only for .twitter there is no collision.
This is a good choice, especially because Elon Musk's company will not make any claims to an outdated company name.

The three registered TLDs mentioned above are supposed to be protected. The purchases will be canceled and the TLDs are protected again.

Freename has resolved the issue, and the team is investigating to ensure it never happens again.

I am always pleasantly surprised that Freename removes all obstacles immediately, even at the weekend.
